Welcome to Abbottsbury ("Abbottsbury"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Abbottsbury web application ("the Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

    By accessing or using Abbottsbury, you agree to these Terms, as updated from time to time in accordance with Section 9 below.

  2. Use of the Service

    You must be at least 18 years old to use Abbottsbury. You agree to use Abbottsbury only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations.

  3. User Accounts

    To access certain features of Abbottsbury, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and agree not to disclose it to any third party. You will be solely responsible for any activities or actions taken under your account, whether or not you have authorized such activities or actions. You must notify Abbottsbury immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

    Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information about you. By using Abbottsbury, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

  5. Intellectual Property

    The Service and its original content (excluding User Content, as defined below), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Abbottsbury and its licensors.

  6. User Content

    Users of Abbottsbury may have the opportunity to submit, post, display, transmit, perform, publish, distribute, or broadcast content and materials, including but not limited to text, data, graphics, photographs, messages, or other materials ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Abbottsbury a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the User Content in connection with Abbottsbury and its business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service in any media formats and through any media channels. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant the licenses granted in this section and that your User Content does not violate the rights of any third party.

  7. Prohibited Conduct

    You agree not to:

    • Use Abbottsbury for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law;
    • Violate, or encourage others to violate, any right of a third party, including by infringing or misappropriating any third-party intellectual property right;
    • Post, upload, or distribute any content that is unlawful, defamatory, libelous, objectionable, or inappropriate;
    • Interfere with security-related features of Abbottsbury;
    • Engage in unauthorized spidering, scraping, or harvesting of content or information, or use any other unauthorized automated means to compile information;
    • Access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of Abbottsbury, our computer systems, or the technical delivery systems of our providers;
    • Impersonate any person or entity or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;
    • Post, upload, or distribute any content that contains viruses, malware, or other harmful software;
    • Engage in abusive, offensive, or harassing behavior, including by sending unsolicited messages to other users;
    • Encourage or enable any other individual to do any of the foregoing.
  8. Promotional Use of Profile Photo

    By using Abbottsbury, you grant Abbottsbury the right to use your profile photo for promotional purposes. However, if you wish Abbottsbury not to use your profile photo for promotional purposes, you may request to opt out by contacting us here requesting to "opt out."

  9. Changes to Terms

    We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
